Sam is an associate in the firm’s corporate practice. He assists public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), securities, corporate governance and general corporate matters.
Prior to joining Akin, Sam held a variety of roles, including as a judicial extern for the Honorable Chief Judge Barbara Lynn of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, as a volunteer for Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and as a legal extern for B-29 Investments.
Sam earned his J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and as a member of the Order of the Coif. In addition, he served as a comment editor for the SMU Law Review Association and was a Hatton W. Sumners Scholar.
