Biography

Sebastian is an associate in the financial restructuring group. He has experience in representing banks, private credit funds, insolvency practitioners and debtor companies in relation to a wide range of restructuring matters across a number of industries.

Representative Work
  • Basslink: Counsel to the secured lender syndicate and subsequently appointed receivers of Basslink, a state significant electricity interconnector linking the electricity grids of the Australian states of Victoria and Tasmania. The asset was ultimately sold to the APA Group through a debt-for-equity swap transaction implemented via a deed of company arrangement.
  • Kwinana: Counsel to the Kwinana Waste to Energy project in relation to its debt restructure and recapitalization implemented via a scheme of arrangement.
  • Heron Resources: Counsel to Heron Resources, an ASX listed copper mine, and subsequently appointed administrators and deed administrators in relation to its debt restructure and administration.
  • Disability Services Australia: Counsel to a significant National Disability Insurance Scheme provider and subsequently appointed administrators in relation to its administration and recapitalization implemented via a deed of company arrangement.
  • Private Credit Fund: Counsel to an Australian private credit fund on several complex financings, including advising on restructuring options and security enforcement.
