Sophie is an associate in the corporate finance team in London. She advises financial institutions, investors and companies on a wide range of UK and cross-border financings. She has experience in fund finance (including both capital call facilities and net asset value (NAV) facilities), special situations and general corporate lending.
Sophie completed a six-month secondment at a market-leading investment management firm, with a particular focus on derivatives, collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) and trade settlements.
Fund Finance
- Advised a German investment bank on an umbrella facility agreement.
- Advised a global investment manager on its entry into a USD facility by one of its Luxembourg umbrella specialised investment funds with a US bank.
- Advised a Swiss private bank on its entry into a NAV facility with a Luxembourg borrower, with real-estate financing (REF) development loans as the underlying asset.
- Advised a Swiss private bank on its entry into a senior loan note issuance facility for the purpose of financing the origination of portfolio loans.
- Advised a leading Australian bank in relation to several amendments to different subscription line facilities.
