- Advises clients on privacy, cybersecurity, and antitrust legislative and regulatory developments, including evolving state and federal privacy legislation.
Taylor serves as a policy advisor in the public law and policy group and advises clients on a broad range of issues, including those related to privacy and cybersecurity, antitrust enforcement, evolving health care issues such as cannabis, and COVID-19 relief, among others. She develops and implements effective legislative advocacy strategies engaging key congressional committees with jurisdiction over technology, consumer protection, and judiciary matters, in addition to appropriations.
Prior to joining Akin, Taylor worked for a number of policy firms, where her focus was assisting clients in the banking and financial services, health care, and transportation industries on cybersecurity and privacy issues. She also previously worked in the Offices of Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Senator Tom Carper (D-DE), as well as for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).
