Tyler’s practice focuses on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, complex corporate transactions, financial restructurings, and executive compensation and employee benefits.
Prior to joining Akin, Tyler served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Joseph W. Nega of the United States Tax Court.
Tyler earned his LL.M. in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, and his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School, where he was an assistant editor of the Wayne Law Review and participated in Moot Court.
