Zach serves as a policy advisor in Akin’s lobbying & public policy practice in Washington, D.C., where he leverages years of Capitol Hill experience to provide strategic advice and advocacy for clients navigating complex legislative and regulatory matters.
Prior to joining Akin, Zach held a variety of roles in the U.S. House of Representatives, most recently as legislative director for Representative Elise Stefanik (R-NY). In this capacity, he led legislative strategy and oversaw policy development across a broad range of issues, including education, labor, small business and appropriations. Zach also previously worked in the offices of Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA), Rep. Ralph Abraham (R-LA) and Rep. Steve Womack (R-AR), gaining experience in managing key policy areas and maintaining strong relationships on Capitol Hill.
