(Dallas) – Akin Gump is pleased to share that the firm, along with 7-Eleven senior counsel Dawud Crooms, has been shortlisted in the 2020 DFW Outstanding Corporate Counsel Awards for its work on client 7-Eleven’s $21 billion acquisition of Speedway.  The awards are sponsored by the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Dallas-Fort Worth chapter and The Texas Lawbook.

The awards showcase, according to organizers, “the expertise and extraordinary work of corporate in-house counsel during 2020.” Finalists will be honored, and the winners announced, on June 3 at the George W. Bush Institute.
