Akin Gump Advises Rizvi Traverse Management in Acquisition of Performing Rights Organization

(New York) – Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP served as legal advisor to private-equity firm Rizvi Traverse Management LLC in its acquisition of a majority stake in music performance-rights company SESAC Inc. for about $600 million.
Rizvi Traverse has experience in several industries, with an investment portfolio that includes Playboy Enterprises, Inc., Square Inc., Facebook, Inc., Twitter, Key Air and Keystone Aviation, and Summit Entertainment. SESAC, based in Nashville, represents artists including Bob Dylan and Neil Diamond.
