(Hong Kong) – Akin Gump, as counsel to the ad hoc creditors of Noble Group in that company’s restructuring, was among the honorees in the category Finance Deal of the Year: Insolvency and Restructuring at The Asia Legal Awards. This is the second consecutive year in which the firm has been recognized in this category.

The firm’s victory was announced last night at a gala dinner in Hong Kong hosted by The Asian Lawyer and Law.com. The awards honor work the publication considers to be the “best in the region.”

Akin Gump’s work in this matter was also one of two deals for which the firm was recognized at the IFLR Asia-Pacific Awards held in Hong Kong earlier this month. (Learn more here.)

In 2018, the firm was honored at The Asia Legal Awards in two categories, including Finance Deal of the Year: Insolvency and Restructuring. (Learn more here.)
