(Hong Kong) – Two deals on which Akin Gump advised have been named winners in their respective categories of The Asia Legal Awards 2018.

In the category of M&A Deal of the Year - North Asia, the winner was Toshiba Corp.’s sale of its memory chip business. The firm advised Kingston Technology in the matter. (Click here to read more.)

In the Finance Deal of the Year - Insolvency and Restructuring category, Akin Gump advised a group of convertible bondholders in category winner PT Bumi Resources’ $4.5 billion global debt restructuring.

The Asia Legal Awards 2018 are presented jointly by The Asian Lawyer, The American Lawyer, China Law & Practice and Legal Week.
