Jenny Magallanes Named to “40 Under 40” by National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development

(Washington, D.C.) – Akin Gump counsel Jenny Patten Magallanes has been named a 40 Under 40 award recipient by The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development. Ms. Magallanes is a member of the firm’s public law and policy practice, focusing on American Indian policy and regulation matters.
The National Center notes that its Native American 40 Under 40 award recipients exemplify “leadership, initiative, and, especially during COVID-19, resiliency and dedications towards their communities and business.” This year’s class features recipients from academia, medicine, government, nonprofits, the legal industry, and other fields.
In its profile of Ms. Magallanes, The National Center notes that she is a member of the San Carlos Apache Tribe and Native Hawaiian. It also spotlights her work as a leader at the National Native American Bar Association and on a number of tribal law cases concerning, among other topics, water conservation and land status.
