Our Commitment
Plain and simple: Always Green is resolved to be a sustainability program with both high transparency and high ambition. That means working toward publicly disclosed, science-validated carbon reduction targets.
As a member of the Law Firm Sustainability Network, we already assessed the current state of our operations by taking part in the American Legal Industry Sustainability Standard. We proudly earned a gold rating. Now, we’re in the process of analyzing our emissions to make plans for reduction.
Our local green teams are active across the globe. No matter the size of the office, we welcome input from our Akin community on sustainable improvements in our space and offer opportunities to support local initiatives.
We ensure sustainability remains a present priority for everyone by folding simple sustainability-focused activities into Akin's Be Well program, an award-winning initiative focused on the social, collective and well-being aspects of both the home and work environments.

And we’re actively working to collaborate with the next generation. In 2022, Always Green established and launched the Sustainability Internship program, targeted to undergraduate students with environmental studies concentrations. Carefully designed to support Always Green’s mission, the internship offers students the dual opportunity to employ educational knowledge and to execute real-life responsibilities within a global professional services environment.
