Energy & Renewable Energy for Indian Tribes

Our energy practice assists American Indian tribes and nations in representation before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Department of Energy (DOE) on policy matters, including rulemakings and proceedings of interest, such as hydroelectric relicensing matters in which tribal land is affected and energy construction projects that require FERC approval and that may affect tribal lands.

We also assist in evaluating energy needs, including developing options for reducing energy costs, an important objective for tribal development plans that utilize large amounts of energy.
