- 15 Nov 2024 - M&M Wireless, Inc.; Moheed Latif; Hamza Latif; Abdu Latif Chaudhry - Denial Order; No monetary penalty
On November 15, 2024, BIS issued an order approving a settlement between BIS and M&M Wireless, Inc., Moheed Latif, Hamza Latif, and Abdu Latif Chaudhry (the “Respondents”) for 94 violations of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), specifically, 4 violations of 15 C.F.R. §§ 764.2(g) (misrepresentation and concealment) and 90 violations of 764.2(i) (recordkeeping). On or about November 24, 2020, and on or about November 17, 2021, Respondents made false statements to a U.S. based freight forwarding company in connection with the export of 4 shipments of consumer electronics from the United States destined to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Respondents provided false information regarding the value and/or quantity of items contained in the exports in the Shipper’s Export Declaration, Air Waybill, or other Export Control Documents. Further, between on or about July 3, 2019, through on or about December 14, 2021, Respondents failed to comply with recordkeeping requirements in connection with 90 exports from the United States. As part of the settlement and order, the Respondents (i) are subject to a three-year denial order that is suspended for a probationary period of three years, and (ii) are required complete export compliance training on the EAR within 12 months from the date of the order.

The Russia Sanctions Amendment Regulations 2024 (No 5) came into force. An additional seven individuals and five entities were entered into the Schedule of sanctioned persons.
- 27 Nov 2024 (Switzerland):
The Swiss Federal Council adopted two reports comparing applicable Swiss law with the EU Directive on asset recovery and confiscation, and the EU Directive on criminal offenses and penalties for the violation of EU sanctions.
- 22 Nov 2024 (BIS):
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that Sanjay Kaushik, an Indian national, was indicted on charges related to his conspiracy and attempt to unlawfully export a U.S.-origin navigation and flight control system from Oregon to Russia via India.
