The OverRuled: Russia Trade Controls Resource Center has been updated with the following actions:
- 23 Dec 2024 (Switzerland):
The Swiss Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research ("EAER") made additional designations, in line with the European Union's ("EU") 15th package of sanctions targeting Russia. The changes will come into force on December 24, 2024 and ensure that the Swiss sanctions lists in respect of Russia and Belarus are identical to the relevant EU sanctions lists.
- 20 Dec 2024 (EU):
The European Commission (the "Commission") updated its sanctions FAQs relating to the diamond import ban, pursuant to Article 3p of Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 ("Regulation 833/2014").
- 16 Dec 2024 (EU):
The European Union ("EU") added 26 individuals and 2 entities to the list of persons subject to EU asset freeze measures, pursuant to Council Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3177, amending Council Regulation (EC) No 765/2006 regarding restrictive measures in relation to Belarus.
