Andrew advises and represents private fund sponsors on matters involving the formation, structuring and ongoing operation of U.S. and non-U.S. private equity funds and hedge funds, as well as managed accounts and customized investment solutions. Prior to joining Akin, Andrew was a managing associate in the industry-leading investment funds team of another global law firm.
Andrew maintains an active pro bono practice and was recognized as the 2020 Rookie of the Year by the National Immigrant Justice Center for his work to help asylees and refugees obtain lawful permanent resident status and bring family members to the United States.
Andrew graduated cum laude from the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where he was an editor of the Northwestern University Law Review and a recipient of the John Henry Wigmore Scholarship. Andrew earned his B.A., with distinction, in Philosophy and English Literature from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
