Biography
  • Advises clients on international trade matters involving export controls and sanctions.
  • Advises space companies on issues involving national and international space law, policy and regulation.

Chase assists clients with compliance and investigations related to U.S. export control laws and economic sanctions. He also counsels launch, satellite and space-based service providers on a broad range of legal issues related to regulations, disputes, transactions and compliance.

Chase earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law. During his time at Duke, Chase served as executive editor of the Alaska Law Review, senior research editor of the Duke Law & Technology Review, special editor of the Duke Journal of Gender Law & Policy, a member of the Moot Court Board and a graduate fellow for the Duke Center on Risk.

Chase was co-founder and project manager for the interdisciplinary study “Going to Mars: Science, Society, and Sustainability” and semifinalist at the 2021 Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition, where he scored the highest individual brief.
