Charlotte Ezaz’s practice is focused on all aspects of international trade and regulatory compliance, including economic and trade sanctions, export controls, customs, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, national security and foreign investment review matters. Her work includes advising on compliance with such laws, advising on compliance risks in the context of international transactions, supporting the implementation of trade compliance policies and procedures and supporting clients engaging with regulatory agencies and institutions.
- Advising a number of companies and multinational corporations across different sectors – including energy, technology, telecommunications, travel, shipping, pharmaceuticals, agrochemical and financial services – on the application of multijurisdictional economic and trade sanctions that have been imposed on Russia since late February 2022.
- Providing one of the world’s largest technology companies with sanctions compliance advice, export control assessments guidance and customs classification matters pertaining to cutting-edge hardware.
- Supporting the provision of global sanctions advice on complex cross-border transactions to multiple clients.
- Assisting a number of clients in developing internal compliance programmes.
