Elina advises established and emerging fund sponsors on complex matters involving the formation, structuring and ongoing operation of domestic and offshore funds. Elina also represents institutional investors and sovereign investors in connection with their investments in private investment funds.

Her experience includes representing buyers and sellers in secondary market transactions, in addition to General Partner-led transactions, including stapled secondaries and restructurings.

Prior to joining Akin, Elina was an attorney at another global law firm in New York. She also completed a secondment at JP Morgan Asset Management. While in-house, she handled an array of fund matters including providing counsel on fund formation and term negotiation.
