Elina Ostrovsky focuses her practice on matters involving the formation, structuring and operation of domestic and offshore private investment funds. Additionally, she advises clients on fund documents, fund subscription materials, and other regulatory and compliance issues related to the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
Prior to joining Akin, Elina was an attorney at another global law firm in New York. She previously served as a legal and compliance intern for an investment company and a judicial intern for the Honorable Jack B. Weinstein of the United States District Court of the Eastern District of New York.
Elina earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where she graduated cum laude and served as president of the American Constitution Society. She also served as associate editor for the Fordham International Law Journal.
