Jacquie is a London-based partner on Akin’s financial restructuring team. She focuses on large, complex, cross-border restructurings and special situations financings.
Jacquie advises a wide range of clients, including par and secondary investors, banks, creditor and noteholder committees, as well as distressed corporates and sponsor portfolio companies. She has extensive experience on a range of restructuring processes, and works across a variety of industries and geographies; acting on some of the most complex transactions in the market.
In special situations financings, Jacquie brings a restructuring lens to lending transactions—analyzing lending structures with an eye toward downside protection, and developing structures that focus on preserving the ability of creditors to act quickly and access the core value within the borrower group.
- Wittur: Counsel to the ad hoc group of senior lenders in relation to consensual restructuring of the debt and equity capital structure of certain first lien loans.
- Adler: Counsel to the ad hoc group of holders of certain German-law bonds in relation to the amendment of certain terms through an English Restructuring plan.
- Avanti: Counsel to the Avanti group, a U.K.-based satellite operator, in connection with its debt and equity capital restructuring implemented through linked prepackaged administration sales.
- intu Debenture: Counsel to the ad hoc group of holders of certain debenture stock issued by intu Debenture plc on the debt and equity capital restructuring and sale out of administration.
- Codere: Counsel to the ad hoc group of holders of notes issued by certain subsidiaries within the Codere group on the amend and extend transaction and new money injection, implemented through an English scheme of arrangement, and subsequent debt-for equity swap implemented through a Luxembourg share pledge enforcement and consent solicitation.
