Biography
  • Advises companies on corporate transactions, including domestic and cross-border M&A for PE funds and their portfolio companies.
  • Advises across industry sectors, including media, real estate, manufacturing, biotech and fintech.
  • Broad experience gained at public and private companies in business and in-house leadership roles, and as an international law firm partner; initially trained as a securities lawyer.

Jeff’s practice benefits from a unique perspective gained in business, in-house and big law while based both in the United States and Europe. This broad background enables him to lead with practical, efficient, client-focused solutions. 

As a law firm partner and counsel, as well as while in-house, Jeff has led corporate transactions and is skilled at rapidly assembling and managing necessary talent and resources to navigate regulatory and public policy matters and resolve disputes.

Representative Work
  • Represented Central European Media in numerous M&A and capital markets transactions, including its $2.1 billion acquisition by PPF.
  • Represented Adit EdTech (SPAC) in its merger with GRIID Infrastructure.
  • Represented a special situations lender on a variety of financings.
  • Represented Capmark Financial Group in numerous M&A transactions and restructuring.
  • Represented an ethanol producer in project financings and manufacturing agreements, as well as governance matters.
  • While serving as chief legal officer of a paper manufacturer, advised on restructurings and high-yield financings.
  • Part of the management team that launched early software and hardware for “virtual-try-on” for eyewear and cosmetics.
  • Represented Kawasaki Rail Car in a $2.3 billion JV with Alstom to build NYC subway cars.
  • In London-based business and in-house roles at Central European Media, advised on numerous M&A and financing transactions.
  • First deal after law school was Jeffrey Lurie’s purchase of the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles.
