Joseph is a member of the firm’s cybersecurity, privacy and data protection practice, where he specializes in advising clients on compliance, data breach investigations and notifications and subsequent litigation. Joseph focuses on matters related to cybersecurity as well as state, federal and international privacy statutes such as the European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), along with emergent tech matters involving autonomous vehicles, intellectual property, AI & ML, cryptocurrency, blockchain and the metaverse, among others.
Prior to joining Akin, Joseph was a law clerk at the Senate Homeland Security & Government Affairs Committee, as well as the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania. He also spent a number of years working at cloud computing companies as well as a tech startup he helped found.
