Represents clients in the formation and operation of investment funds, including private equity funds and hedge funds.

Assists asset managers in all types of secondary and structured secondary transactions, including multi-manager portfolio sales, GP-led transactions, and real estate joint ventures and tender offers.
Morgan counsels fund sponsors, managers, investors and other clients in all aspects of fund formation and operations. He focuses primarily on the representation of buyers, including lead investors, and sellers in the acquisition and sale of investments on the secondary market. His experience includes traditional portfolio sales, stapled secondaries, recapitalizations and restructurings, structured secondaries and other GP-led transactions.
Prior to joining the investment management group, Morgan was a Strauss Diversity & Inclusion Scholar and summer associate at Akin.
Before attending law school, Morgan was a senior analyst with a Fortune 200 company in Richmond, Virginia, where he focused on data modeling and analytics for the company’s supply chains.
Morgan earned his J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was the chief administrative editor of American Criminal Law Review and a student attorney at the Juvenile Justice Clinic & Initiative. He also received his B.S., summa cum laude and with a focus on business information technology, from Virginia Tech.
