- Represents financial institutions, investment management firms, and individuals in white collar and government investigations, regulatory examinations, criminal enforcement matters, and internal investigations.
Victoria Fydrych advises clients facing government investigations, enforcement proceedings, and regulatory enquiries brought by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and other regulators. She has counseled clients through regulatory exams by the SEC’s Division of Examinations as well as assisted with responses to deficiency letters and matters resulting from referrals to the Division of Enforcement. Victoria draws valuable experience and finance sophistication from her work as a legal secondee in Morgan Stanley's Global Financial Crimes group.
Victoria also maintains a robust pro bono practice representing clients in criminal matters and immigration proceedings.
During law school, Victoria was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a legal extern with the Volunteers of Legal Service Immigration Project. Victoria also studied at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University Law School and Sciences Po Law School through Columbia’s Paris Global Alliance, where she earned a Certificate in Global Business Law and Governance.
Victoria was a member of Akin’s 2018 summer associate class and an Akin Pro Bono Scholar in 2017.
