- 26 Feb 2025 (OFAC):
OFAC sanctioned six entities based in the PRC and Hong Kong, pursuant to EO 13382, for their involvement in the procurement of key components by entities connected to Iran's UAV and ballistic missile programs. These entities operate as front companies and facilitate the purchase and shipment of key components for the benefit of OFAC-designated Iranian firm Pishtazan Kavosh Gostar Boshra ("PKGB") and its subsidiary Narin Sepehr Mobin Isatis ("NSMI").
PKGB was sanctioned pursuant to EO 13382 in August 2019 for being owned or controlled by Hamed Dehghan, who was concurrently designated for his central role in facilitating the procurement of military-grade electronic components for Rastafann Engineering Company ("Rastafann"). Rastafann was designated pursuant to EO 13382 for having provided support to the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and the Naval Defence Missile Industry Group. NSMI was designated pursuant to EO 13382 in February 2024 for being owned or controlled by, or acting or purporting to act for or on behalf of, directly or indirectly, PKGB.
- 24 Feb 2025 (OFAC):
The United States sanctioned over 30 persons and vessels for their involvement in Iran's oil industry. This network of illicit shipping facilitators obfuscates and deceives its role in loading and transporting Iranian oil for sale to buyers in Asia.
In this action, OFAC sanctioned oil brokers in the UAE and Hong Kong, tanker operators and mangers in India and the PRC, the head of Iran's National Iranian Oil Company, and the Iranian Oil Terminals Company, whose operations help finance Iran's destabilizing activities, pursuant to EO 13902.
Concurrently, the Department of State designated eight entities and individuals based in India, Iran, the UAE, Seychelles, and Malaysia, pursuant to EO 13846, for engaging in Iranian petroleum and petrochemical trade and is identifying eight vessels as their blocked property.
