- 11 Feb 2025 (EU):
The European Commission (the "Commission") updated its EU FAQs in respect of the Ukrainian oblasts of Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia (the "Oblasts"), to clarify how EU operators should assess which areas in the Oblasts are controlled by Russia and subject to EU restrictive measures.
- 11 Feb 2025 (Russia - Countermeasures):
The Russian President permitted the acquisition of shares in "Gazavtomatika Dispatching System", which is owned by a company from an "unfriendly" state.
- 04 Feb 2025 (Russia - Countermeasures):
The Ministry of Finance clarified that appointment or termination of a general director in Russian limited liability companies owned by "non-friendly" residents does not require approval of the Russian Government Commission.

- 06 Feb 2025 (OFAC):
OFAC sanctioned entities and individuals in Iran, the Seychelles, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, the PRC, India, and the United Arab Emirates, pursuant to EO 13224 or 13902, for facilitating the shipment of millions of barrels of Iranian oil worth hundreds of millions of dollars to China to fund Iran's Armed Forces General Staff through its sanctioned front company Sepehr Energy. Proceeds of these sales support the development of Iran's military and nuclear program and regional terrorist proxy groups.
