- Advises on a broad range of executive compensation issues and strategies in connection with public and private mergers & acquisitions, spinoffs, restructurings and other significant transactions.
- Clients include public and private companies, private equity funds, family offices and individual executives.
Alexandra provides strategic counsel to public and private companies, private equity funds, family offices and individual executives on all aspects of executive compensation issues and strategies arising under tax (including Sections 280G and 409A), securities and employment laws. She frequently negotiates equity and cash incentive plans, as well as employment, separation, change in control and retention agreements. She also helps public companies prepare compensation-related disclosures, including annual proxy statements and Form 8-K.
Prior to joining Akin, Alexandra was an executive compensation associate in the New York office of another large international law firm.
Alexandra received her B.A. in history with honors from University of California, Berkeley and studied at the University of Lausanne’s International Economic and Commercial Law Program in Switzerland. She earned her J.D. at University of California, Davis, King Hall School of Law. She earned her LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law.
