Alison is an associate in the international trade practice. She advises clients on matters involving international trade policy and regulatory and policy developments. Alison also advises clients on enforcement and compliance issues related to U.S. export controls and economic sanctions, customs and import controls, and compliance with international trade laws and regulations.
Previously, Alison was a legal affairs intern at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), where she drafted documents for international finance transactions, researched key policies and statutory regulations, and performed transaction due diligence.
Alison earned a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center magna cum laude and Order of the Coif. She served as editor for the Georgetown Journal of National Security Law and Policy. Alison earned a B.A. summa cum laude from the University of South Carolina.
Alison was a member of Akin’s 2021 summer associate class.
