Brendan represents domestic and international fund sponsors in connection with organizing, structuring and operating private investment funds, including private equity funds, real estate funds, fund of funds and secondary funds. He focuses primarily on the representation of buyers, including lead investors, and sellers in the acquisition and sale of investments on the secondary market.

Brendan’s experience includes advising institutional investors in connection with traditional portfolio sales and acquisitions, stapled secondaries, recapitalizations and restructurings, structured secondaries and other GP-led transactions.

Prior to joining Akin, Brendan was an associate in the investment funds group of another large international law firm.
