Justin is a partner in Akin’s corporate practice and is the international head of the firm’s technology group.
He focuses on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance and private equity. Justin has acted on cross border acquisitions and disposals for trade buyers, financial sponsors, sovereign wealth fund, large family offices and portfolio companies. He is experienced in both public to private transactions and private mergers and has worked on securities transactions, including large initial public offerings (IPOs), placings, secondary issues and convertible debt issues. He has particular experience in advising companies in the technology, gaming and internet sectors.
Prior to joining Akin, Justin was the managing partner of the London office of another US headquartered law firm.
- Advising Super Group (SGHC) Limited, a holding company for leading global online sports betting and gaming businesses Betway and Spin, on its listing on the New York Stock Exchange.
- Advising RZC Investments on acquiring control of British upmarket cycling brand Rapha.
- Advising Susquehanna Private Capital on its acquisition of a global leader in interpretation and translation technology, thebigword Group.
- Advising Board Intelligence Limited in relation to the management sale to and investment by K1 Investment Management into Board Intelligence.
- Advising Tipico Group Ltd on the sale of its product and technology platform constituting the U.S sportsbook and online casino to MGM Resorts International.
