Louise specialises in the energy and infrastructure space, advising on project development; project finance; engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts; offtake arrangements; and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Louise has particular experience in energy transition matters involving low-carbon hydrogen, clean ammonia, offshore wind, carbon capture and renewable fuels.
- Advised a full-service net-zero solutions provider in the development of an ultra-low-carbon ammonia production facility in Port Arthur, Texas.
- Advised a producer of ultra-low-carbon electrofuels (eFuels) in the development of a power-to-liquids eFuels facility in Texas that will convert waste carbon dioxide and green hydrogen into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and other low-carbon fuels and in its $75 million project equity investment commitment from a fund focused on emerging climate technologies.
- Advised an Australian petroleum exploration and production company on its merger with a multinational mining and metals company with an approximately $43 billion merged entity value and concurrent listing of American depositary shares (ADSs) on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
- Advised an agricultural and specialty chemical manufacturing company as project counsel in the development and financing of a world-scale ammonia project in Texas.
- Advised an Australian public company that operates Australia’s primary securities exchange regarding listing an emerging lithium-boron producer in the development of the flagship project located in Nevada in a 50/50 joint venture with a leading international precious metals mining company, including offtake agreements to supply lithium for the manufacture of batteries for electric vehicles.
- Advised the world’s largest investor in renewable power in its investment of up to $500 million in a leading developer of dairy digesters for generating renewable vehicle fuel and electricity.
- Advised a Turkish oil refinery and its sponsors on the development and financing of a $6.3 billion greenfield oil refinery in Turkey on the Aegean Sea.
- Advised a gas processing and petrochemical company on the development and multibillion-dollar financing of a gas processing plant and petrochemicals facility in Azerbaijan.
- Advised one of the most advanced energy plants on the construction, development and financing of a $3.6 billion gas-to-liquids project in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
- Advised on the joint venture between a leading Turkish oil and gas company and a subsidiary of a British multinational oil and gas company on the proposed development and financing of a $1.8 billion petrochemical industrial complex in Turkey on the Aegean Sea.
- Advised a Canada-based petrochemical company on the proposed development and financing of a $2 billion methanol production facility in Alberta.
- Advised a chemical manufacturing company on the approximately $800 million development and financing of facilities for the production of polypropylene and high-density polyethylene in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
