Marissa Etter supports companies with various corporate matters including, project development, finance transactions and corporate governance.
While in law school, Marissa was a managing editor for the Tulane Maritime Law Journal and served as the alumni relations chair for the Black Law Students Association.
Marissa served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Susie Morgan in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. She was a member of Akin’s 2019 summer associate class.
- Assisted company in structuring their solar development platform and represented client on associated tax equity and debt financings.
- Assisted Oaktree Capital Management, L.P., a leading global alternative investment management firm, as sole lead arranger with respect to providing $400 million term loan and delayed draw term loan financing to RumbleOn, Inc. in connection with RumbleOn’s acquisition of RideNow Powersports.
- Counseled company in the acquisition of a 50% interest in a lithium battery recycler and supplier and concurrent provision of $30 million debt financing.
- Assisted Genesis Energy L.P., a diversified midstream master limited partnership, in the refinancing of its existing revolving credit facility with $950 million in new commitments from existing lenders, including a new $650 million revolving credit facility and a $300 million Term Loan A.
