Michael Chen is a counsel in the firm’s litigation group.
Michael represents investment funds and other corporate and individual clients in a broad range of litigation matters, including complex commercial litigation, contract disputes, settlement negotiations, mediations, and bankruptcy litigation, covering a diverse variety of subject matter, including commercial loans, asset-backed notes, digital assets, securities, collateralized loan obligations and other debt instruments.
Michael received his J.D. in 2018 from New York University School of Law where he was an Articles Editor for the Journal of Law & Business. While in law school, he worked as a legal extern for the Kings County District Attorney’s office and as a legal intern for Lawyers for Children.
Michael was a member of Akin’s 2017 summer associate class.
