Our project debt and equity finance team has a great depth of practice advising on a wide range of financing matters, including preferred equity financing structures, syndicated loan facilities, reserve-based facilities, cross-border and synthetic leasing, public and private debt capital markets financings, securitizations and swaps, hedges and other commodity products.

Akin also routinely handles project debt and equity transactions involving acquisition financing, asset-based lending (including reserve-based lending for oil and gas transactions), cash-flow based lending, debtor-in-possession financing, investment grade lending, mezzanine financing and subordinated debt financing.

In addition, we have vast experience in the tax incentives available for renewable energy projects and related requirements, including Production Tax Credits (PTC), Investment Tax Credits (ITC) and the U.S. Treasury Grant.
